If hair is too short for a bun, it must be pulled back neatly from face, off neck and secured with bobby pins. Stud pierced earrings are the ONLY jewelry allowed in class.

RECITAL

A recital is held in May to encourage students to demonstrate what they have accomplished during the year to family and friends. Anyone missing more than eight classes throughout the year will not be allowed to perform in the recital.

Tasteful, age-appropriate costumes are chosen for each dance number. Everyone participates in the recital and is required to purchase a costume in December. A student’s costume will not be ordered unless ALL fees (including the costume fee) and tuition are up to date. Half of the costume fee will be required in December. The remaining fee must be paid by January 30.

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS

In the event of inclement weather, DancePraize will follow the Arkadelphia Public School District’s school closings. If they close, we will be closed also. Students may choose another class to attend the following week.

NOTES

  • For your child’s safety, please arrange for prompt pick-up. DancePraize is not responsible for children left unattended outside of class time.

  • Please respect our teachers when classes are in session--we kindly ask that no parents or siblings enter the studio during classes. There are viewing windows outside of each classroom.

  • Make sure to label all dancewear with your child’s name. We have a LOST and FOUND box in the dressing room area.

  • We recommend that all students are potty-trained. Please remain in the waiting area during class if your child still needs assistance.

  • We do not have a water fountain in the building. Bringing a water bottle is highly encouraged, especially during the hot months. Cold water bottles are available for $1.00.

  • Because we want to put God first in all that we do, we have a brief prayer at the end of each class. However, we will remain thoughtful of and welcoming to students of all religious beliefs. Any religious objections to our worldview should not prohibit a student from attending our classes.

  • If you have suggestions on how we can improve the studio, we are always open to new ideas. We are also happy to answer any questions you might have. We are looking forward to a successful year of dance.

A FEW RULES:

• Polite, respectful behavior is expected of all students.

• Be on time.

• Do not chew gum.

• Please do not make excessive noise in the waiting area while waiting for your class to begin.

• No food or drink in the studio (except water bottles if needed).

• No cell phone use during class.
